540 km · 6h 30min · Drive to Morocco's elegant, UNESCO-listed capital
Recommended: Stop overnight in Casablanca, then continue to Rabat the next morning. This turns a grueling 6.5h drive into two easy stages.
Rabat is easier to drive in than Casablanca. Park near the medina or at the Mohammed V Avenue car parks (central, affordable). The Kasbah area has a small car park at the entrance gate. The Ville Nouvelle (new city) has plenty of pay-and-display street parking.
Since Rabat and Casablanca are only 90 km apart, combining both cities in one trip is the smart play. Spend 2 nights in Casablanca, 2 nights in Rabat — you've covered Morocco's two most important modern cities plus the Hassan II Mosque, all in one road trip from Agadir.
